Easy Installation in 3 Steps

trex Cloud Easy Installation in 3 Steps

Getting started with trex Cloud is designed to be simple and fast. In just 3 steps, you can create your account, install the data collector, and connect your machines to start monitoring production signals.

Step 1 — Create a Free Account

First, create your trex Cloud account:

➡️ Register here: https://app.trexcloud.ai/register

Registration is quick and requires only:

  • your email address
  • a couple of basic company details

Once you complete registration, you can log in and access trex Cloud.

Step 2 — Download the trex Cloud Data Collector

After creating your account:

  1. Log in to the app: https://app.trexcloud.ai
  2. After logging in, open the user menu and go to Download the data collector
  3. Download the correct version for your environment:
    • 64-bit version
    • 32-bit version

The data collector is the component that runs close to your machines and securely forwards machine signals to trex Cloud.

Step 3 — Connect trex Cloud to Your Machines

Now you are ready to connect trex Cloud to your shop floor.

Install the collector on the right device

Install the trex Cloud data collector on:

  • an HMI PC, or
  • an industrial mini PC / edge device

Check protocol compatibility

Make sure your machine supports one of the trex Cloud industrial protocols.

Ensure Ethernet connectivity

Verify that your machine is reachable over Ethernet from the device where the collector is installed.

Configure production signals

To start generating meaningful OEE-ready signals, configure:

  • counters (production / parts)
  • stop signals (downtime / machine stop)

Once these are set up, trex Cloud can start building the foundation for production monitoring and KPI visibility.

You’re Ready 🚀

That’s it — trex Cloud is installed and connected.

If you want to scale further, you can easily add more machines, lines, and sites using the same approach.
