Flexible Data Ingestion (No Dedicated Hardware Required)
trex Cloud is designed to be integration-friendly. It enables manufacturers to start collecting and processing operational data without requiring dedicated hardware installations or direct physical connections to machines.
This approach makes trex Cloud ideal for organizations that already have an existing data collection setup, and want to activate advanced processing, monitoring, and analytics capabilities with minimal effort.
No Dedicated Hardware or Direct Machine Connection Needed
trex Cloud does not require dedicated hardware or a direct connection to your machines in order to operate.
Instead of forcing a specific hardware gateway model, trex Cloud can work with your existing environment, including:
- Existing machine data collection systems
- Plant-level middleware
- Industrial networks already connected to equipment
- Current SCADA / historian / custom data acquisition tools
This enables faster deployment and reduces operational disruption.
Capturing Existing Machine Data with a Small Custom Program
If you already collect data from your machines, trex Cloud can ingest that data using a small custom software program that captures the collected signals and forwards them to the trex Cloud core engine.
This lightweight program can be used to:
- Read machine data from your existing data sources
- Transform or normalize data if needed
- Package data into a structured payload
- Send the data securely to trex Cloud
This means you do not need to replace your existing data collection infrastructure — trex Cloud can build on top of it.
Seamless Processing by the Core Engine
Once the data is sent, the trex Cloud core engine processes it seamlessly and consistently.
The core engine is responsible for:
- Validating incoming data
- Enriching signals with context (timestamps, source identifiers, metadata)
- Converting raw telemetry into meaningful operational events
- Preparing data for dashboards, analytics, alerts, and downstream integrations
This ensures that data collected from different sources can be handled in a unified and scalable way.
Open Input and Output Schema for Custom Development
The trex Cloud core engine is built with openness and extensibility in mind. Its input and output data schema is open, enabling customers to integrate and customize according to their needs.
This provides two major advantages:
- You can understand exactly how data is expected and how it will be processed
- You can build additional services, integrations, or adapters around the platform
If desired, you can also develop your own custom software program to send data into trex Cloud, following the same schema.
This flexibility makes trex Cloud suitable for:
- Enterprises with internal software development teams
- Unique production environments and custom machine integrations
- Integration projects that require full control over data mapping and transformation
